InBody 580 Body Composition Analysis
Your Weight Is Only One Number. Discover the Bigger Picture.
Traditional scales tell you how much you weigh. The InBody 580 helps you understand what that weight is made of.
In just minutes, this advanced body composition analysis provides detailed information about muscle, body fat, visceral fat, body water, and more—giving you an objective baseline to better understand your body and track meaningful changes over time.
At NewU Wellness Center, we believe better information leads to better decisions. InBody testing is one of the tools we use to help you understand where you are today and measure where you're going.
What Can an InBody Analysis Tell You?
Your InBody 580 assessment provides much more information than a traditional scale, including:
Skeletal Muscle Mass
Understand how much muscle you have and monitor changes as you work toward your health, fitness, or performance goals.
Body Fat Mass & Body Fat Percentage
See how much of your total body weight comes from body fat rather than relying on weight or BMI alone.
Visceral Fat
Gain insight into the fat stored around your internal organs, an important measurement when evaluating overall metabolic health.
Segmental Muscle & Fat Analysis
See how muscle and fat are distributed throughout your arms, legs, and trunk.
Body Water Analysis
Evaluate the distribution of water throughout your body and better understand hydration and fluid balance.
Basal Metabolic Rate
Estimate how much energy your body requires at rest based on your individual body composition.
See More Than Progress on a Scale
Losing weight doesn't always mean losing fat. Gaining weight doesn't always mean gaining fat.
Changes in muscle, body fat, hydration, and overall body composition can easily be missed when you're watching only the number on a traditional scale.
InBody allows us to establish an objective baseline and repeat your assessment over time so you can see what's actually changing.
Know where you are. Track where you're going.
Who Can Benefit From InBody Testing?
InBody analysis can be valuable whether your goal is to:
• Improve your overall health
• Reduce body fat
• Build or preserve muscle
• Improve metabolic health
• Monitor progress during a weight-management program
• Support healthy aging and longevity
• Improve athletic performance
• Better understand your body composition
You don't have to be an athlete or participating in a weight-loss program to benefit. Sometimes the most valuable part of testing is simply establishing a baseline and understanding your body better.
What to Expect
Your InBody assessment is quick, non-invasive, and requires no special clothing or physical exertion.
You'll stand barefoot on the analyzer and hold the hand electrodes while the assessment is performed. The test takes only a few minutes.
Once completed, you'll receive a detailed Body Composition Result Sheet with your individual measurements.
For the most consistent results, we recommend following the same testing conditions each time you return so changes can be compared accurately over time.
A Better Baseline for Better Health
At NewU Wellness Center, we're moving beyond treating isolated numbers and symptoms. Our approach to Total Health Optimization begins with understanding the whole person and using meaningful data to help guide individualized health decisions.
Body composition is one important piece of that picture.
Combined with your health history, lifestyle, goals, advanced laboratory testing, and clinician-guided care, InBody can help provide a clearer understanding of where you are today—and help objectively measure your progress along the way.
